six UNO Graduates Named New Orleans CityBusiness 2013 Women of the Year
Six University of New Orleans graduates were named New Orleans CityBusiness 2013 Women of the Year, and one of the honorees was singled out as the 2013 Woman of the Year. Lizette Terral, the New Orleans region president for JP Morgan Chase Bank, headlined the list of illustrious professionals. She earned her Master's of Business Administration from UNO.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Terral has made a profound impact on the local culture. A former president of the board, she now chairs a $38 million fundraising campaign led by the Louisiana Children's Museum to raise money for the Early Learning Village project in City Park. According to Terral, the plan is to relocate the Louisiana Children's Museum to City Park, leveraging all of the resources in the region for children and families and bringing them together in one place to streamline access for families, educators and child care providers. The park will also provide much-needed green space for the Children's Museum, said Terral, who also serves on the board of the New Orleans World Trade Center.
The 2013 class marks the 15th anniversary of New Orleans CityBusiness' Women of the Year, an annual event and publication that celebrates 50 individuals for their career and community contributions.
In addition to Terral, the following UNO alumnae were also honored as 2013 Women of the Year: Eileen Byrne, president and CEO of the UNO Research and Technology Foundation; Dana Hansel, HBK LLC partner; Leslie Lanusse, Adams and Reese partner; Elizabeth Meneray, Meneray Family Law attorney; and Trudy Robichaux, Robichaux Automation and Control, Inc., who earned bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from UNO.
Another honoree, Jennifer Lee Poulin, the director of marketing and leasing for Sealy & Co., is pursuing a finance degree from UNO.
