Sports & Gaming

These groups provide athletic-related activities and competitions for UNO students, such as the Rugby club team, intramural sports, or Bluebeard Gaming.

Bluebeard Gaming

Purpose: To provide an academic as well as social organization encouraging knowledge of all aspects of the field of eSports/Gaming and serving as a community of interest and activity for its members.

Four Horseman Chess Club

Purpose: To foster and promote interest in the game of chess at the University of New Orleans by appropriate means; including but not limited to, holding regular meetings, organizing of tournaments, teaching chess, inviting lecturers and sending teams to intercollegiate tournaments.

Rugby Club

Purpose: To introduce individuals to the sport of rugby and increase awareness to the fastest growing sport in America while promoting physical fitness and mental discipline needed to play the sport.

Sailing Club

Purpose: To promote the sport of sailing within the UNO community and to compete against other schools in the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association.

Soccer Club

Purpose: To bring students together through the athletics and sportsmanship, and to teach the sport of soccer to the UNO community.

Student Athlete Advisory Committee

Purpose: To be the voice of the student athletes to the University and the community. SAAC leads many volunteer opportunities, as well as brings issues to the athletic administration staff that its student athletes are currently dealing with.

Tae Kwon Do Sports Club

Purpose: To give all students the opportunity to study Tae Kwon Do; and to promote the physical and mental disciplines of the martial art.
