Information About TOPS
Three Important Steps
Submit Your Application: As you consider enrolling at UNO, the first step is to submit an application. You can do so by applying online at apply.uno.edu. Don't delay. By applying now, you will ensure a smoother transition to the University.
File Your FAFSA: In order to receive TOPS, you are required to file a current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). It can be found at fafsa.ed.gov. In addition to making yourself eligible for TOPS, filing a FAFSA will allow us to help you get all of the financial aid and scholarships that you need. This can help you fill the TOPS gap.
Accept Your TOPS Award: Once you are notified by the state about your TOPS award, you must accept your TOPS award as soon as possible to make sure that you receive your aid.
UNO is Your Pathway to Success
A reduction in TOPS does not mean that you have to delay your dream of obtaining a college degree. You can still receive a quality education close to home for significantly less than other state universities. For nearly 60 years, the University of New Orleans has provided a pathway to success for tens of thousands of graduates. Our alumni are leaders in a number of fields in metro New Orleans and beyond. Watch our alumni speak about how their University of New Orleans degree impacted their lives and businesses.
