Program Information
Program Overview
The core of the program is a one-month course of study in various subjects. Each class offers 3 hours of college-level academic credit, and students are able to take 2 courses. Classes are taught in English and no foreign language skills are required.
Classes are held from Monday to Thursday to allow for long weekends for individualized travel or group excursions. Class curriculum and excursions vary from day to day, meaning one day a class may have a lecture and the next they may go to a farmer's market or a walking tour of a nearby neighborhood. This program is designed for students to actively engage with Montpellier and the surrounding area.
We like to say that students on this program are residents, not tourists. Participants stay in student housing with easy access to public transportation. Plus, the walk from downtown from student housing is only about 20 minutes, so students can easily explore Montpellier during the afternoons and on weekends.
