January 3, 2022 - Workday Student Project to Begin This Month
Since the completion of the Workday Human Capital Management and Financial Management implementations in December 2020, participating UL System universities have evaluated prospective consulting firms as partners for the Workday Student Implementation Project. On December 17, 2021, the UL System, Southeastern, LA Tech and UNO finalized all partner services agreements with Accenture LLC. As such, Accenture will commit expert resources to work with University staff to meet the Workday Student Project timeline, provide post implementation support, and knowledge transfer.
The Workday Student Implementation Project will begin in earnest in January 2022 with planning activities. A full week of activities for project participants is tentatively scheduled for the week of January 31, 2022, and a formal Project Kick-Off is currently scheduled for early February. Project management will be reaching out to the leads to provide more information in the coming weeks.
The Workday project is a high priority of UNO and the UL System, and we are committed to providing sufficiently skilled staff resources to support it. This project is much more complex than the previous Workday implementation project, and with proper support and dedication to resources and deadline-based decisions, we can advance our systems to the next level of responsive, user-friendly, and technologically advanced software needed for the next generation of Privateers.
Please direct questions concerning the implementation to Dr. Gloria J. Walker, Vice President for Business Affairs and Project Sponsor, at gjwalker@uno.edu or Janet Fleming, Assoc. Vice President and Senior Project Manager, at jflemin5@uno.edu.
