Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence
The UNO Cyber Center (UNOCC) leads multi-disciplinary research projects in cybersecurity and coordinates cyber educational programs and initiatives at UNO. It hosts UNO’s NSA-designated National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Research (NCAE-C) National Center. Artificial Intelligence is the main focus of research efforts in the UNO computer science department with an emphasis on applications in cybersecurity, autonomous unmanned vehicles, bioinformatics, health care, and environmental and coastal science. Computer Science also hosts UNO’s Research Data Center, which serves as a hub for computational research projects in cybersecurity, AI, STEM and educational outreach to government, industry, educational, community and K-12 partners.
