The Business of the Arts and Entertainment
Work in the business of the arts and entertainment draws on faculty expertise from two colleges, the Henry Bernstein College of Business Administration and the College of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Development. Faculty and graduate students will contribute to work in Business, Marketing, and Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management in ways that will bolster the university’s contributions to the New Orleans area and beyond. Faculty and students working in this area will develop innovative approaches to managing one of the area’s largest economic engines while supporting one of the most important aspects of life and culture in the region.
The University of New Orleans currently offers a Sports Business concentration in its MBA program and a MA in Arts Administration; it is also developing a BA in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. In addition, the Henry Bernstein College of Business Administration is home to the Division of Business and Economic Research and the Hospitality Research Center, both of which conduct large scale research studies for industries including the arts and entertainment.
